Flyer and Torch

Originally we were going to have one flyer with information on how to prepare for emergencies that fitted inside the torch, and individuals could replace this flyer with their own plan. However from the interim critique, we decided we would need to include a plan inside the torch, something participants could fill out with neighbours contacts etc. This information from the original design could then be an additional flyer, or as packaging. We decided to go for the packaging idea, a box for the torch. Having the information on the packaging is a good idea, but could the box be more purposeful?
This was the design to date, and from this, we need to include a roll out image of the torch on the packaging so people know what is inside. The titles ‘Make a Plan’, ‘Make a Kit’, ‘Make it Safe’ could be different to be more food-related puns present in the plan, and needs to be reflected in imagery too. There are some minor adjustments that can be made such as making the writing space on the plan more user-friendly - a solid box with lines as opposed to separate boxes.
- Screen Size is for Mac Book Pro 15" Retina
- making bad puns in headings and connecting to the 'thought' idea.
- making it cohesive (reusing imagery, colour, fonts, text)
- the dividing bars should be the same or slightly longer than the heading/body text
- made an image gallery page and a sign-up page because there was a lot of text and it felt cramped.
- Also made the Neighbourhood Resource page and Guide the same height, this allowed more room and we were able to have better spacing for legibility and more imagery.
- Using the ends of the kebabs for numbering the tips.
Begining to work with Invision with the refined website. We also need to start on the mobile version (Iphone 6. 750px x 1334px). This will just be moving it to a one column grid and shifting the content underneath.
